Full disclosure

The parts most services bury.

You are about to trust a stranger with the most consequential decision of a bad year. You are entitled to know exactly what our incentives are, what we are not, and what else is available to you. All of it is on this page.

How we are compensated

Law firms that participate in our network pay a flat participation fee. It is fixed in advance, it does not vary with the number of matches a firm receives, and it does not vary with the outcome or value of any claim.

  • We are never paid a percentage of any settlement, judgment or fee.
  • We are never paid per referral, per lead, or per signed retainer.
  • No firm can pay more to be matched more often, faster, or into a particular claim category.
  • We do not sell, license or share your information with any third party for marketing purposes.
  • We receive nothing from you, at any point, in any form.

This structure is deliberate, and it exists for two reasons. The first is practical: any payment tied to volume or outcome creates pressure to route files toward the payer rather than toward fit, and that pressure eventually wins. The second is professional: law society rules across Canada restrict the sharing of legal fees with people who are not licensed, and restrict referral arrangements that turn on outcome. A flat fee paid for a marketing and matching service sits cleanly within those rules.

A test you can apply anywhere

Ask any referral service, ours included, one question: "Are you paid more if I sign with them, or if my case is worth more?" If the answer is anything other than a flat no with an explanation, you have learned what you needed to know.

What we are

An independent matching service operating across Canada. We take a structured intake, analyse it against a vetted network of plaintiff-side injury firms, and make a single introduction with our reasoning attached.

What we are not

  • We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice, legal opinions or legal representation. Nothing on this site or in any communication from us creates a solicitor-client relationship.
  • We are not a law society referral service. Provincial and territorial law societies operate their own services, typically free, and they remain available to you whether or not you use ours.
  • We are not a lead broker. Your intake is not distributed to multiple firms and is not sold.
  • We are not able to assess your claim. The signals we show you are generated from your own answers. They are not a valuation, not an opinion on the merits, and not a substitute for advice.

Claims we make, and the basis for them

We say we work only with vetted firms. The vetting standard is published in full on our standards page — the admission gates, the continuous measures, and the conduct that removes a firm. We do not claim any firm is the best in its province: that is not a measurable statement, and professional advertising rules restrict such claims for good reason. What we claim is that a firm cleared a published standard, was chosen for your facts, and had capacity to take your file.

Your alternatives

You are not obliged to use any matching service. You can contact a firm directly, use your provincial law society's referral service, or ask someone you trust for a name. If you are in a province where a public insurer administers your claim, you may also be able to deal with them directly without counsel. We would rather you make an informed choice than a fast one.

Accuracy and corrections

The jurisdictional and educational content on this site is reviewed on a schedule and each page carries its review date. We deliberately omit indexed dollar figures — caps, deductibles and benefit limits change every January — because a confidently stale number does more harm than an honest gap. If you find something on this site that is wrong or out of date, tell us at hello@injurylawyernearme.ca and we will correct it and note the change.

Conflicts and independence

We do not hold any ownership interest in any firm in the network, and no firm holds an interest in us. If that ever changes, this page will say so before any match is made under the new arrangement.

Now that you know the incentives.
